Client COVID-19 Updates effective 3/23/2020

Animal Medical Clinic is committed to providing the best possible veterinary care for our patients during this COVID-19 crisis. We are working within the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA) to keep our clinic, staff and clients free of the virus.

In order to mitigate the spread of the virus we are requesting that only personnel and pets enter our clinic.   

*Exceptions may be extended for emergencies.  Please call 850-878-8288 before arrival*

Our clinic hours remain 7:30am-5:30pm Monday through Friday

We will continue to see patients and perform all of our regular medical and surgical services but kindly request that you wait in your car.

**If you are experiencing a fever or any signs of respiratory illness or have been in contact with someone who may have COVID-19, please call us to reschedule your appointment.

Curbside Protocol for Appointments and Drop-offs  

  •   Please remain in your vehicle with your pet.
  •   Call when you arrive in the parking lot 850-878-8288
  •   We will discuss your needs by phone when you arrive.
  •   Pets MUST be secured in carrier or leashed to prevent escape
  •   At the end of the phone conversation, a care professional will come to the parking lot to bring your pet into the building for evaluation.
  •   After the medical team evaluates your pet, you will receive a phone call to discuss recommendations and a plan moving forward. Verbal consent for treatment and details surrounding financial estimates will be authorized via this phone call.  Updates will be given via phone by your medical team for all pets needing to remain for diagnostics and treatment.
  •   Once the care of your pet is complete, the discharge process and any planned therapy will be     discussed.
  •   A customer service representative will obtain payment via one of our payment methods. 
  •   We prefer that you pay with Credit/Debit Card or with your CareCredit account.  Payment by check will remain an option if the preferred means of payment is not possible.  During this time we will not be accepting cash.
  •            -A credit card reader with PIN pad will be available for your convenience outside the entrance to the building to pay by credit or debit.  
  •            -For your safety, the PIN pad will be disinfected between uses. 
  •  Your pet will be brought back to your vehicle by a staff member with any necessary medications or prescriptions to go home.

Revised Boarding Protocol during this COVID-19 crisis

  • Call upon arrival for pet to be picked up from the parking lot and to pre-pay for stay.
  • For the safety of your pet, we require that you leash your dog and have your cat secured in their carrier prior to our curbside pickup.
  • Your pet’s food, medications, collar/leash or carrier are the only belongings permitted to enter the facility. (We have ample bedding, bowls, and toys to keep your pet comfortable so please leave those belongings at home!)
  • Upon your pickup day please call when you arrive in the parking lot and your pet will be escorted out to your car.

 Weekend drop off/ pick up times

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 10:00- 10:30am and 4:00- 4:30pm. Our week day hours will remain 7:30am- 5:30pm

(If you drop off over the weekend our front desk staff will call for payment during weekday hours)

Please be patient with us. We will be doing our best to make sure your visit is as convenient as possible under the given circumstances. We are here to help you and your family and want to do our best to mitigate the spread of this virus for the well being of all us so that we can resume our normal lives as soon as possible.  We greatly appreciate your continued trust and support throughout this challenge.  We will strive to continue to provide the best possible veterinary care while maintaining the safety of our valued clients, their beloved pets and our veterinary team.  We welcome suggestions on how we may better serve you given the current circumstances
